A Halloween Celebration In Orlando Turned Deadly In A mass Shooting
A Halloween party in Akron, Ohio, turned tragic on Saturday night when one teen was killed and two others injured in a shooting. According to Akron Police, officers arrived at a home on Paris Avenue around 10:46 p.m. and found an 18-year-old girl with serious gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away. Two other teens, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, were also shot but escaped the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. They are expected to recover, according to police. Based on early investigations, an unknown man reportedly pulled out a gun during the party and fired, hitting the teens. Police chased down an 18-year-old man who attempted to flee, discarding a handgun as he ran. While police detained and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business, it’s still unclear if he was the shooter. He was taken to the Summit County Jail, and detectives are continuing their investigation.
