 A Halloween party in Akron, Ohio, turned tragic on Saturday night when one teen was killed and two others injured in a shooting. According to Akron Police, officers arrived at a home on Paris Avenue around 10:46 p.m. and found an 18-year-old girl with serious gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away.

Two other teens, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, were also shot but escaped the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. They are expected to recover, according to police.

Based on early investigations, an unknown man reportedly pulled out a gun during the party and fired, hitting the teens. Police chased down an 18-year-old man who attempted to flee, discarding a handgun as he ran. While police detained and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business, it’s still unclear if he was the shooter. He was taken to the Summit County Jail, and detectives are continuing their investigation. The victims' names have not yet been released.
